Did you get it? The play on words with the title of this post? Alot of fun? ‘Olaf’ of fun? I know, I’m a terrible comedienne; I should stick to cardmaking! ;)
Speaking of which, my daughter, little Miss StampinHaven; has been invited to a classmates Frozen themed birthday party this weekend, so I sat down today to make a birthday card for the lucky birthday girl.
I decided to do a punch art card, with Olaf on the front. Thanks to Kelly Kent from My Papercraft Journey (she’s such a talented lady!), I was able to assemble Olaf pretty easily with Kelly’s instructions. Click on her name above, to be taken to her instructions. I didn’t have all the punches that Kelly used, but I made do with what I did have.
Starting with a card base of Lost Lagoon cardstock, I layered a piece of Soft Sky cardstock on top. This was stamped with some snowflakes from the Endless Wishes photopolymer stamp set, which featured in the 2014/2015 Holiday Catalogue. The ink used was Soft Sky. A few smaller snowflakes were stamped with Versamark, and heat embossed with White Stampin’ Emboss Powder.
I cut a number 6 out of Silver Glimmer Paper, using the Little Number Thinlits dies; and mounted this on a 1-1/4″ circle of Soft Sky cardstock, then onto a piece of Lost Lagoon cardstock, punched with the Label Bracket punch. The inside of the card and envelope were also stamped with some snowflakes.
A few Basic Rhinestones finished the card off :)
‘Til next time x
Gorgeous card Rachael! The thing I love the most is the Label Bracket punch with the circle inside – I’d never considered doing that and it looks great! Kelly x
