Hello again! Welcome back to another Just Add Ink challenge. This week (#JAI537) is our new year Blog Hop! The theme for our hop is family. Family is always there for each other, no matter what life throws at us.
This blog hop theme coincides wonderfully with my dad’s birthday – and this year is a big one as he turns 70. Dad has always been there for me, whenever I’ve needed his help or advice – and whenever I’ve been too stubborn to ask for it!
For my card, I used a card base of Pacific Point. For the card front, I stamped various sayings from A Good Man with Pacific Point ink. I stamped off on grid paper before stamping on the card front, for a lighter shade. I also used a Pacific Point Stampin’ Write marker to flick ink over it for texture.
On Whisper White card, I stamped the man in the beach chair image with Memento Black. This was coloured with Stampin’ Blends and then cut out using a square die from Stitched Shapes dies.
On Basic Black card I stamped a sentiment and heat embossed with White Stampin’ Emboss Powder. I also created a custom Foil for my die-cut numbers, colouring a piece of Champagne Foil with a light Night Of Navy Stampin’ Blend, letting it dry, and lightly polishing it with a tissue.
The card was finished off with a simple strand of Linen Thread.
Thank you for popping in to have a look at my creation – now it’s off to see the gorgeous project Tina has created for the hop! Click the next button below to continue to Tina’s blog.
