Hello again! I have another blog challenge creation to show you! This time, it’s for Global Design Project‘s theme challenge #GDP091 – wheels.
For my creation, I went to the 2017-18 Annual Catalogue for layout inspiration. I settled on the layout of the Melon Mambo card on page 63. Using a card base of Lemon Lime Twist, I stamped it all over with the bicycle image from a retired Sale-A-Bration set, called Pedal Pusher. You could use the current Bike Ride stamp set as an alternative.
On Watercolor Paper, I stamped the bike image using Basic Black Archival, then watercoloured it using Lemon Lime Twist, Smoky Slate, and Daffodil Delight inks, and a Blender Pen. The ‘let me pedal for a while’ sentiment was stamped on Lemon Lime Twist and Daffodil Delight card with Memento Black, and cut into smaller strips of words.
I splattered a piece of Whisper White with a Daffodil Delight marker, and layered it over a piece of Daffodil Delight card, then layered that on the card base, over a few loops of Linen Thread.
The card was finished off with a cute little wooden heart embellishment.
Thank you for popping in to check out my creation! ‘Til next time x
Very cute! I am always happy to see new ideas with retired sets!! TFS!!
