Last week, my BIL and his family made the difficult decision to have their beautiful maltese-shitzu put to sleep, due to kidney failure and a heart murmur. Saying goodbye to a loved pet is always heartbreaking, and little Rumple had only been with his family for 6 months.
I wanted to acknowledge Rumple’s life, so I sat down to make a pet sympathy card for my BIL’s family. I kept the lines clean, with only a touch of colour, so as not to overpower the card.
My creation was a variation on a card I’d seen on Pinterest recently – one by Nichol Magourik. Punch art was the basis of this card, with the cloud shape from the Tree Builder punch slightly reshaped to resemble a paw pad. The toes were the wing shape from the Bird Builder punch, slightly reshaped. I used the small heart from the Owl Builder punch as well.
