IMG_1479 editedHello again! Thanks for popping in to have a look at our creations from this fortnight’s class – Mother’s Day card and giftbox. For this, we used a new stamp set from the upcoming 2017-18 Stampin’ Up! Annual Catalogue – Fabulous Flamingo. As this set isn’t available until 1st June, you could use another flamingo stamp set, like Pop Of Paradise.

For the card, we used a card base of Kraft cardstock. This was stamped all around the edges with a leaf image from Fabulous Flamingo, using Whisper White Craft ink. We then matted a piece of Whisper White cardstock on Flirty Flamingo cardstock, and stuck this to the card front with Stampin’ Dimensionals. On the piece of Whisper White, we stamped a flamingo, using Memento Black, Flirty Flamingo, and Blushing Bride ink. Then we stamped some grass using Wild Wasabi and Memento Black ink.

A few loops of Black Thread were stuck to the card front using a Glue Dot, and then the banner was stuck to the card front with Stampin’ Dimensionals.

The card inner was also matted on Flirty Flamingo cardstock, and stamped with the grass image. The envelope was also stamped with the same grass image to carry on the co-ordination. Sequins & rhinestones finished off the card. Here it is:

The box template was stamped with the same leaf image as the card, with Whisper White Craft ink. Once dry, the box was folded and assembled. We used double-sided tape (similar to the retired Sticky Strip) to put it together.

IMG_1488Using a 5cmx9cm piece of Whisper White cardstock, we punched the top using the retiring Tag Topper punch, and stamped with the grass image again. The tag was finished off with a sentiment banner like the one on the card, and sequins and rhinestones. Here is the finished card and box together – don’t they look gorgeous, all co-ordinated?
