Hello again! Just popping in to show you the card I have created as my first challenge entry on the TGIF Challenge website. The TGIF challenge for this week was the theme ‘Love Sweet Love’, and I had to try out a watercolour bokeh design I’ve had in my head for awhile ;)
Starting with a card front of Watercolor Paper, I dropped ink from the Real Red, Pumpkin Pie, and Daffodil Delight refills, onto the largest clear acrylic block. This was then spritzed with water using the Stampin’ Spritzer, and then the block was stamped onto the watercolor paper.
After the paper was dry, I used an acetate stencil, punched with various sized circles; to sponge Whisper White Craft ink onto the paper. The smaller the circle, the heavier the sponging.
Using the Crazy About You bundle, the words ‘Love’ and ‘So Much’ were stamped with Versamark and heat embossed with White Stampin’ Emboss Powder, onto Basic Black cardstock. They were then trimmed into labels using Paper Snips. The word ‘You’ was cut from Whisper White cardstock using the Framelits.
The card front was then mounted on Whisper White cardstock, then onto a base of Real Red cardstock. The card was finished off with a few sequins and rhinestones. The envelope and inside of the card were stamped with the heart stamp from Something To Say, using Real Red ink.
Here’s the finished card:Close up:
Thanks for stopping by my blog. I hope I’ve left you with some inspiration to give this technique a go! ‘Til next time x
