I was surfing Pinterest for some new Christmas papercraft ideas recently – and then I found wine bottle gift tags! I came across one created by Nikki Spencer, and I was instantly inspired to try my own tags :)
The gift tag I’m going to show you, used the Merry Everything clear mount stamp set. This is such a cute, versatile set, and I’ve used it a lot so far this season! I used the Merry Christmas stamp.
I cut my tags from an A4 sheet of Cherry Cobbler cardstock. I cut them along the 29.7cm edge, at every 7cm. You will end up with 4 strips from the one sheet, at 7cm x 14cm each. Turning each strip sideways again, I then scored at 7cm. I burnished the score line, and used the Artisan Label punch to punch a hole for the top of the wine bottle. The corners were then rounded off with the Project Life Corner punch.
I then took a sheet of A4 Whisper White cardstock, and cut 4 strips at 6.5cm x 13.5cm each. The corners were rounded off with the Project Life Corner punch as well.
I then used Gorgeous Grunge to create a background on the Whisper White cardstock with Sahara Sand, and then stamped 3 times with the Merry Christmas stamp, in Cherry Cobbler.
I cleaned off the stamp after, then stamped extra labels on some scrap Whisper White cardstock, with Garden Green. The word ‘Christmas’ was then trimmed out, and I cut notches from the ends to create a banner. This banner was then raised up with Stampin’ Dimensionals and adhered on the middle stamped image. I also used a couple of small Basic Pearls to add a bit of class to the tag!
The last step was punching a couple of holes in tag, threading through a strip of Cherry Cobbler seam binding ribbon, and tying it into a bow, before trimming the ends.
And here is the finished product!
I didn’t just stop at there though – I made a few other designs too! I love how they all turned out :)
I hope you’ve been as inspired as me. Please feel free to CASE these designs, but don’t forget to mention where you found the inspiration ;)
