TECHNIQUE CLASSHello again and welcome back to another class catchup! This fortnight we played with the Masking technique to create two unique cards.

For the first card, we used a card base of Balmy Blue cardstock. On Whisper White card, we used Balmy Blue ink, a sponge dauber and a negative masking template of a circle cut from Vellum, to sponge a circle on our card front.

IMG_3287We then stamped and heat embossed tree images from Winter Woods, using Silver Stampin’ Emboss Powder. A sentiment was then stamped on Balmy Blue cardstock and Iridescent Sequins finished the card off.

For the second card, we used a card base of Rich Razzleberry cardstock. On Whisper White cardstock, we stamped the cake once, and a sentiment from Amazing Life, using Memento. This was then coloured with Stampin’ Blends. To create a multi layer of cakes on the card front, we stamped another cake on a post-it note, fussycut it, and used this as a mask on the existing stamped images on the card front.

IMG_3296The card was finished off with Whisper White Dot Ribbon, Twine and a retired paperclip embellishment. The cake was also covered with a layer of clear Wink Of Stella for subtle sparkle.

Thankyou for popping in to have a look at our creations. ‘Til next time x
