Hello again! Welcome back to another Just Add Ink challenge. This week (#JAI500) we are doing a team blog hop to celebrate our 500th challenge! This week’s challenge is ‘Just Add A Die Cut Word’. You may have just come from Kim‘s blog – wasn’t her card just stunning! <3
I wanted to make the diecut word the major focus, so I opted for a CAS design with my creation – simple background stamping, with soft colours and plenty of detail. I was actually inspired by this card I recently saw on Pinterest.
Using a card base of thick Whisper White, I stamped a background image using Memento Black and Painted Poppies stamp set images. For a bit of added texture, I flicked a Basic Black Stampin’ Write Marker across the card front.
On Whisper White card, I stamped multiple poppies and leaves from Painted Poppies, and coloured with Roccoco Rose, Petal Pink, and Old Olive Stampin’ Blends. These were then cut out and layered for dimension on the card front. I then heat embossed a sentiment on Basic Black card, and diecut a word from Champagne Foil sheet.
The card was finished off with Metallic Sequins.
Thanks for popping in to have a look at my creation. Now it’s off to Narelle‘s blog – her card is absolutely gorgeous! <3
