26734486_10154860636575882_5509540945959322792_nHello again! Welcome back to another Just Add Ink challenge. This week (#JAI471) is a inspiration pic challenge, using the below image.

I decided to take the image quite literally with the colour combo, and create a bold striped background on my creation. Starting with a base of Crumb Cake cardstock, I adhered a card front of Whisper White to it. On this, I then layered strips of Pretty Peacock, Balmy Blue, Whisper White, Purple Posy and Blackberry Bliss cardstock. Once glued into place, I stamped and heat embossed some butterflies with Versamark and Clear Stampin’ Emboss Powder.

I then cut a section of flowers from Delightfully Detailed DSP, and glued this to the card front. On the inside of the card I stamped some butterflies and a sentiment, using Pretty Peacock, Balmy Blue, Blackberry Bliss and Memento Black inks.

The card was finished off with Woven Threads Sequins, Silver Metallic Thread, and a sentiment label of Basic Black cardstock; which was stamped and heat embossed with Versamark and White Stampin’ Emboss Powder.

Thank you for popping in to have a look at my creation. Don’t forget to pop over to Just Add Ink to take part in #JAI471 too.

HI Rachael. The striping and the die cuts are what caught my attention. Great card. Light and airy. Creative Blessings! ~Kelly

Wow, what a pretty card, Rachael! The butterflies on the front are so sweet, and the layers under the sentiment are fabulous.
