Hello again! Welcome back to another Just Add Ink challenge. This weeks’ challenge (#JAI383) is cake! I LOVE eating cake, but creating something cake-themed? Not so good…! I’ll admit, I did struggle with this one for a few days; but I’m pleased with what I created :)

For my creation, I used a card base of Melon Mambo. On Watercolor Paper, I stamped and heat embossed with Versamark and White Stampin’ Emboss Powder, using a retired stamp set called Build-A-Birthday. Once dry, I used my Aqua Painters, and gave it a watercolour wash of Melon Mambo, Lemon Lime Twist, and Daffodil Delight inks.

IMG_2339On Basic Black card, I used my retired Alphabet Rotary stamp to create a custom sentiment. This was stamped and heat embossed with Versamark and White Stampin’ Emboss Powder. A strip of Basic Black Shimmer ribbon, and Silver Mini Sequin Trim were stapled to the card front, and the card was finished off with sequins and rhinestones.

Thank you for popping in to have a look at my creation – don’t forget to pop over to Just Add Ink to take part in #JAI383 too. ‘Til next time x

I would never have guessed you had a hard time with this one, Rachael. The end result is gorgeous. Love the watercolour wash & the colours you’ve chosen. x

So beautiful Rachael! Your white embossing really pops against your richly coloured background and I love the contrast of the black and silver elements too. xx

Gosh, that background is stunning! Love your watercoloured backgrounds, Rachael. Looks fabulous with the white embossing. Really love the black accents especially the different layered sentiment.
