Hello again! Welcome back to another Just Add Ink challenge – this week, we are taking inspiration from an image provided by Kelly. I love the freshness of this image, and I decided to take inspiration from the floral elements and colours.
I created a watercoloured rose card to celebrate the birth of a friends baby girl. My chosen colours were Real Red (strawberries), Flirty Flamingo (pink lemonade), Old Olive (leaf sprigs in jug), and Garden Green (grass in background).
I used a card base of Flirty Flamingo. A slightly smaller piece of Whisper White was splattered with Flirty Flamingo ink and stamped with a sentiment using Memento Blank ink. This was adhered over a strip of Dazzling Diamonds Glimmer Paper, using Stampin’ Dimensionals.
On Watercolor Paper, I stamped two rose images from Birthday Blooms with Archival Black ink; and watercoloured them with an Aqua Painter and the Flirty Flamingo, Real Red, Old Olive, and Garden Green inks. Once dry, the roses were fussy cut and layered together with Dimensionals. The card was finished off with rhinestones.
Thankyou for popping in to have a look at my creation – don’t forget to pop over to Just Add Ink to take part in #JAI379. ‘Til next time x
