Hello again! I thought I’d pop in and show you what we made this fortnight in my card class, using the Emboss Resist technique.

We made 3 cards – one washed with watercolouring, one spritzed with alcohol & ink; and one sponged. For the first card, we used a cards base of Whisper White; and we stamped with Birthday Bloom around the edges of a card front of Whisper White, then heat embossed with White Stampin’ Emboss Powder.

Using a Stampin’ Spritzer filled with isopropyl alcohol (available from a hardware store/chemist) and about 12 drops of Blushing Bride ink refill, we spritzed around the edges of the card front. The excess ink was wiped off the embossing with a rag wet with isopropyl alcohol.

The centre was stamped with a sentiment from Birthday Blooms using Black Archival ink; and the card front was then matted onto a layer of Blushing Bride, before being stuck to the card base with Stampin’ Dimensionals. A few Basic Pearls finished off the card.

For the second card, we stamped the large ‘thank you’ from Another Thank You with Versamark, then heat embossed with White Stampin’ Emboss Powder.

A watercolour wash of Flirty Flamingo, Sweet Sugarplum, and Rich Razzleberry was brushed over the sentiment, using an Aqua Painter. The drying time was sped up using the Heat Tool on setting 1. The card front was then mounted onto a card base of Rich Razzleberry cardstock, and finished off with some Basic Rhinestones and Metallic Sequins.

For the last card, we used a card base of Tip Top Taupe. A piece of Whisper White cardstock was stamped with Versamark, using the Butterfly Basics stamp set; then heat embossed with White Stampin’ Emboss Powder. This was then sponged all over with Soft Sky and Mint Macaron inks. When dry the image was wiped clean, and it was then matted on a piece of Mint Macaron cardstock.

A sentiment was stamped on a banner of Very Vanilla cardstock, using Tip Top Taupe ink; and mounted on the card front using Stampin’ Dimensionals. The card was finished off with Basic Pearls.
