Hello again! Welcome back to another weekly class catch-up. Unfortunately, I was struck down with a nasty migraine, and had to cancel my class on Tuesday night. I still wanted to share the projects with you all though 😊
For the first card, I drew inspiration from the DVD cover of a show I used to watch as a teen – Degrassi High! It had a pair of acid-wash 90’s jeans on the front, and that’s the look I was trying to recreate. I used a card base of Marina Mist for this card. It was stamped all over with a texture stamp from You’ve Got This, to resemble the denim weave. A pocket was cut from Marina Mist and stamped as well. Stitching was stamped on the card with Soft Suede ink.
On Wild Wasabi card, I stamped the money image and cut it out with the Framelits. On Real Red, I stamped and heat embossed the small ‘HBD’ sentiment. This was then cut out with the tab Framelit. The money was glued onto the card front, then the pocket was adhered with Stampin’ Dimensionals.
For the second card, I used a card base of Daffodil Delight, which was stamped all over with the sunglasses image using Daffodil Delight ink. On Daffodil Delight card, I stamped the glasses again with Archival. Once dry, I brushed clear Wink Of Stella over the lenses.
A piece of Whisper White was the card front, and it was stamped with the sun rays using Daffodil Delight ink. On a banner of Basic Black, I stamped and heat embossed a sentiment. Silver Metallic Thread, rhinestones and sequins finished the card off.
For the last card, I used a card base of Dapper Denim. A pocket was cut from Dapper Denim card to match, and stamped with stitching using White Craft ink. I also stamped an image from Timeless Textures, to add some ‘wear and tear’ to the jeans. The card base was flicked with Dapper Denim ink.
I stamped the sun and rays images on Daffodil Delight card with Archival Black, and cut them out with the Framelits. On Lemon Lime Twist card, I stamped the sunglasses with Archival Black. These were also cut out. A banner of Whisper White stamped with a sentiment, finished the card off.
Thank you for popping in to have a look at my creations this week! ‘Til next time x
