Hello again! I thought I’d pop in and show you all what we made in card class this fortnight! This time around, we focused on masculine cards, using the Going Places suite from the 2016 Occasions catalogue.
occ2016-sp_09The first card consisted of a card base of Crumb Cake cardstock, and a card front layer of Crumb Cake, that was embossed with the World Traveller embossing folder. A compass was stamped on Very Vanilla cardstock using Lost Lagoon ink, and a sentiment was stamped onto a banner of Very Vanilla cardstock, using Crumb Cake ink. We also used Linen Thread and the Natural Chevron ribbon to finish off the card, as well as a strip of DSP from the Going Places 6×6″ DSP stack.

Here’s the finished card:

For the second card, we started with a card base of Very Vanilla. The card front consisted a piece of DSP from the Going Places DSP stack, mounted to a piece Basic Black cardstock.

A sentiment was stamped on Very Vanilla cardstock using Memento Black, and an overlaying banner was stamped and fussy cut. We used Basic Black and Real Red Stampin’ Write Marker. A small heart was punched from Red Glimmer Paper, and stuck to the card front.

For the final card, we used a card base of Basic Black cardstock. The card front was stamped with the constellation image, using Versamark, and heat embossed with Gold Stampin’ Emboss Powder. The world image was also heat embossed on Basic Black cardstock and punched out using the 2″ circle punch.

We used Metallic Gold Thread, Gold Sequins (pulled off the Trim!), a Gold Foil banner, and a banner of Whisper White cardstock, stamped with a sentiment using Memento Black ink; to finish off the card.
