Hello again! I finally found the time to partake in another Global Design Project challenge, and this weeks’ is a colour challenge. Click on the picture below to view the #GDP33 challenge and play along.

Global Design Project 033I’m glad I took part in this challenge, because it gave me the opportunity to make a goodbye card and gift for a dear friend and work colleague who is moving back to the UK… *sniffle* :(

For the card, I used a base of thick Whisper White cardstock, stamped all over using the full bloom stamp from Birthday Blooms, and Night Of Navy ink. I used the friend stamp from the Friendly Wishes (Sale-A-Bration 2015 stamp set), and stamped on a piece of Whisper White cardstock using Night Of Navy ink.

The little heart was coloured in using a Calypso Coral Stampin’ Write Marker, and I then used my clear Wink Of Stella (I’m addicted to Wink now!) to add a little bit of glitz to the heart. This piece of card was then matted onto Calypso Coral cardstock, then Night Of Navy cardstock.

A banner of Sahara Sand cardstock was lightly brushed with clear Wink Of Stella, and stuck down to the card front, on top of a strip of Calypso Coral Seam Binding Ribbon. The stamped front image was then stuck to card front using Stampin’ Dimensionals. The cards was finished off with a few Metallic Sequins and Basic Rhinestones.

Here’s the finished card:

To accompany the card, I baked some homemade Choc Chip Biscotti, and packaged it in a Mini Treat Bag, made from Sahara Sand cardstock, and stamped with the full bloom stamp from Birthday Blooms, using Versamark for a watermark effect.

A tag of Whisper White card was stamped with the full bloom stamp too, using Night Of Navy ink. For a faint look, I stamped off 4 times before stamped my tag. The ‘dear friend’ stamp from Birthday Blooms was then stamped using Calypso Coral ink.

The bag was finished off with a banner of Night Of Navy cardstock, Calypso Coral Seam Binding Ribbon, the tag, a bow of Sahara Sand Lace Trim, and a few sequins and rhinestones.

Here is the finished treat bag:
