Hello again! Today I was lucky enough to spend a few minutes making a card for this weeks’ Global Design Project challenge, which I thought I’d share with you all.
This week is a theme challenge – Thank You. We really don’t say thank you enough, do we? Handmade cards a beautiful way to show how grateful we are to those we love, and my creation is going to a dear friend and work colleague.
My creation was inspired by a gorgeous card I’d seen on Pinterest recently (this one). I started with a card base of thick Whisper White, and cut a piece of Basic Gray cardstock, on an angle, for the front.
The piece of Basic Gray cardstock was stamped and heat embossed with the medium ‘Thank You’ stamp from Another Thank You, using White Stampin’ Emboss Powder. Around this, I stamped a smaller thank you sentiment repeatedly, using Versamark, and allowed it to dry, leaving a watermark effect.
Using the Botanical Blooms stamp set and matching Framelits, I stamped and cut a few leaves and flowers. A little sponging around the petals and leaves added some depth; and the stamens for each flower were coated entirely with Versamark, and heat embossed with Clear Stampin’ Emboss Powder.
I finished off the card using my favourite embellishments – Basic Rhinestones and Metallic Sequins! :D
And here it is:
Why don’t you have a go at the Global Design Project challenge too? ‘Til next time x

Fabulous! I love your take on the original Rachael. The sharp angles are softened beautifully by the flowers. Gotta have those sequins – we all love bling, lol. Thank you so much for playing at Global Design Project with us.
Thank you Paula x
