Hello everyone! Here we are – another week, another Global Design Project challenge! This week, it’s a layout sketch challenge, set by the very talented Teneale Williams. I loved this sketch as soon as I saw it, because it’s right up my alley with a clean & simple layout. I decided to use You’ve Got This as my chosen stamp set, because I just don’t use it enough – and the background alone is stunning :)
Starting with a card base of thick Whisper White, I stamped the background stamp from You’ve Got This, in Rich Razzleberry. I then layered a small strip of Basic Black card across the front, with the end made into a banner using the Hexagon punch.
On a piece of Shimmery White cardstock, I stamped the flower using Versamark, and heat embossed with Black Stampin’ Emboss Powder. The flower was then watercoloured with Blackberry Bliss & Daffodil Delight ink, and an Aqua Painter. Once dry, it was then hand cut using Paper Snips. How pretty is that shimmery effect?
On a circle of thin Whisper White cardstock, cut with the 2-3/8″ circle from the Circles Collection Framelits, the sentiment ‘Good things are going to happen’ was stamped with Memento. The flower was then adhered above the sentiment using Stampin’ Dimensionals.
The circle was then fixed in place on the card front with Stampin’ Dimensionals, a small bow tied from Silver Cording Trim was adhered using a Glue Dot; and a large rhinestone was stuck ontop of the bow.
Here’s the finished card:
Thank you for stopping in having a look at my creation – why don’t you pop along to Global Design Project, and try the challenge yourself? ‘Til next time x
