Hello again! Thanks for stopping by my blog for another ESAD Blog Hop. This time, 13 talented demonstrators from Australia and New Zealand, are showcasing Sale-A-Bration products as a last-chance inspiration fest. You’ve most likely jumped here from the amazing Emily Campbell’s blog; but if you started here, you can follow the blog hop by clicking the Next Blog button or participant listing at the bottom of each blog :)
For my projects, a birthday card and a mini treat bag, I decided to use the cute Party Pants stamp set, and Metallics Glitter Tape.
Starting with a card base of Melon Mambo cardstock, I layered a slightly smaller piece of Melon Mambo on the card front. On a piece of Whisper White cardstock, I stamped the ‘Happy Birthday To You’ sentiment from Party Pants, using my Basic Black & Melon Mambo Stampin’ Write Markers to colour the stamp first. On the edge of the Whisper White card, I adhered a strip of Melon Mambo striped paper from the It’s My Party Designer Series Paper Stack.
Using my Melon Mambo marker, I coloured two strips of the white Metallics Glitter Tape. The Heat Tool is great at speeding up the drying process, but don’t hold it too close, or you could risk melting the tape….like I almost did! ;)
This tape was then used to stick the Whisper White piece to the front of the card.
The balloon from Party Pants was stamped on Whisper White using Melon Mambo, and then I stamped the large sprinkle stamp from Balloon Celebration over the top. It *almost* lines up perfectly. This was then punched out using the Balloon Bouquet punch. Using my Basic Black marker, I drew a line on the Whisper White card front piece, and adhered the balloon over it using Stampin’ Dimensionals.
A few sequins and rhinestones finished off the card. Here it is:
For the treat bag, I used the Mini Treat Bag Thinlit dies to cut the standard template, from a sheet of It’s My Party DSP. On a banner of Whisper White cardstock, I followed the same steps I used for my card, with the balloon and sentiment stamping. A few rhinestones, some Silver Sequin Trim, a clothespin, some Melon Mambo striped bakers twine and loose sequins finished off the bag. Here it is:
I hope I’ve provided you with some inspiration on how to use these gorgeous Sale-A-Bration goodies. The next stop on this blog hop is the ever-talented Monique Fielder. Click the button below to jump to Moni’s blog. ‘Til next time x
