Hello again! Welcome back to another ESAD Blog Hop. This time, 28 Stampin’ Up! demonstrators from Australia and NZ are showcasing projects made with items on the Retirement List.
My all-time fave floral set, Birthday Blooms, is being retired, so I’ve created a quick project using that. I’ve also used Rose Red as a core colour in my project, as that is also being retired due to the Color Revamp.
Where I live, my little street has been quiet for some time with not a lot of neighbours (partially developed estate), so imagine my delight when I had two new neighbours move in recently! I love to gift bottles of wine (especially if it’s local Margaret River wine!), so this blog hop gave me a chance to whip up a handmade wine bottle tag for each neighbours wine bottle.
I used a card base of Rose Red, and on Watercolor Paper, did an ombre watercolour wash of Rose Red ink with an Aqua Painter. I then stamped the large floral stamp of Birthday Blooms on Watercolor Paper as well, and coloured this with Rose Red and Lemon Lime Twist inks, using an Aqua Painter. These blooms were then fussy cut out. I used Black Metallic Thread behind the flower on the tag, and finished it off with Iridescent Sequins. I tied Striped Lemon Lime Twist ribbon around the neck of the bottle to finish the gift off.
Thanks for popping in to have a look at my creation with this gorgeous and much loved stamp set of mine. Now it’s onto the amazingly talented Leonie Schroeder. Click the ‘Next Blog’ button below to continue the hop. ‘Til next time x
P.S. Oh, the neighbours loved their gifts too!
