Hello again! Welcome back to another ESAD Blog Hop – this time, myself and 22 demonstrators from Australia and NZ have put together a sneak peek of projects, using products from the upcoming 2017 Occasions and Sale-A-Bration catalogue, for you to be inspired by. You may have just come from the very creative Nerida‘s blog, or may be starting here. You can continue on the blog hop by clicking the Next button at the bottom, or clicking on the participant list. Let’s get started!
For my projects, I used the very cute Cool Treats stamp set and co-ordinating Frozen Treats Framelits. My pre-order didn’t arrive in time, so my wonderful team leader Nicole Wilson lent me her bundle – thanks Nic xx
I made 3 cards using the Cool Treats and Frozen Treats bundle. For the first card, I used a card base of Watermelon Wonder cardstock, stamped with the spoon image using Watermelon Wonder ink for a tone-on-tone effect. The inside of the card and the envelope were stamped with the spoon image using Watermelon Wonder ink as well. There was also some ‘reflection’ images in the set, which I used to stamp Whisper White Craft ink onto the sundae bowl and spoons.
Using the Frozen Treats Framelits, I cut a sundae bowl from Pool Party cardstock, icecream from Whisper White cardstock, and ‘choc top’ from Chocolate Chip cardstock. In the Framelit set is a little sprinkles die, which I used to cut sprinkles from Pool Party, Pear Pizzazz, Peekaboo Peach, and Watermelon Wonder cardstock. All pieces were then layered and glued in place.
The card front was layered with 2 pieces of Whisper White, with the top piece being stamped with a sentiment using Chocolate Chip ink. Seeing as the set is photopolymer, I was able to bend the stamp to change the image slightly. The card was finished off with Whisper White Bakers Twine, Pool Party sequins from the Fancy Frost Sequins (which retires from the Holiday Catalogue on 3rd January!), and some Wink Of Stella on the reflections and sprinkles. Here it is:
For the second card, I used a card base of Peekaboo Peach cardstock. A layer of Watercolor Paper was given an ombre wash with Peekaboo Peach ink, and glued onto the card front. A strip of Whisper White cardstock was stamped with a sentiment using Watermelon Wonder ink, and glued to the card front above a strip of Dazzling Diamonds Glimmer Paper.
On Crumb Cake cardstock, I stamped the waffle cone image with Crumb Cake ink, and cut it out using the co-ordinating Framelit. I used the icecream whirl shadow image on Whisper White cardstock with Sahara Sand ink, stamping off 3 times first, to give a lighter shadow. This was then stamped with the sprinkles image, which had been coloured with Peekaboo Peach, Pear Pizzazz, Pool Party, and Watermelon Wonder Stampin’ Write Markers.ย The envelope was also stamped with the sprinkles image.
The whole icecream was then cut using the matching Framelit, and adhered to the card front with Stampin’ Dimensionals.
The card was finished off with sequins, rhinestones and Wink Of Stella on the icecream shadows (yes, I absolutely love my Stella pens!). Here it is:
For the final card, I used a card base of Pool Party cardstock. On a layer of Whisper White cardstock, I used my Peekaboo Peach and Watermelon Wonder Stampin’ Write Markers to flick ink onto the piece. It was then stamped with a sentiment, using Chocolate Chip and Pool Party inks. The inside of the card and the envelope was also flicked with ink, and stamped in the corner with the icypole image, using Peekaboo Peach ink.
Another smaller layer of Whisper White ink was stuck to the card front with Stampin’ Dimensionals, and on this piece, 3 icypoles which had been stamped with Peekaboo Peach, Watermelon Wonder, Pool Party. and Chocolate Chip ink, and cut out with the matching Framelit.
The card was finished off with some Peekaboo Peach ribbon, and yes…Wink Of Stella!!! :D
