For my creation, I used a card base of Seaside Spray. On the card front, I mixed a custom Embossing Paste. I didn’t have any Seaside Spray reinker, so I mixed 2 drops of Balmy Blue ink and 7 drops of Purple Posy ink into 1 teaspoon of embossing paste to get a colour as close to Seaside Spray as possible.
Once dry, I layered a circle of Vellum diecut with Stitched Shapes Framelits. On Very Vanilla cardstock, I stamped flowers from Peaceful Poppies, using Misty Moonlight and Mango Melody ink. I let this dry thoroughly before lightly colouring with Stampin’ Blends. The Stampin’ Blends do absorb into the Very Vanilla quickly and can bleed, so work quickly and don’t go right up to the outline to avoid bleeding. As it dried it gave a slight watercolour effect.
For the sentiment label, I stamped ‘hello’ from Bloom & Grow with Misty Moonlight ink onto Very Vanilla. The label underneath was ‘hello’ stamped repeatedly with Crumb Cake ink, but stamped off for a lighter gradient. The card was finished off with Linen Thread.
Thank you for popping in to have a look at my creation. Don’t forget to pop over to Colour INKspiration to take part in #CI94 too.
‘Til next time x
