I’m a bit sad at the moment. I really wanted to go to the Stampin’ Up! Convention which is happening right now on the Gold Coast, but alas, it wasn’t meant to be this year :(

So instead, I joined an offshoot group from the ESAD group (for Australian and NZ Stampin’ Up! demonstrators), called UnConvention. Every year, demonstrators who can’t attend the real Convention, can take part in games and challenges in the UnConvention group.

The first challenge I’ve taken part in is the colour challenge, using the now-retiring 2013-2015 In Colors (Baked Brown Sugar, Coastal Cabana, Crisp Cantaloupe, Pistachio Pudding & Strawberry Slush), set by Richelle Fletcher. I decided to challenge myself, and use all five colours, because I never usually use more than 3 colours on my cards! :)

So with these colours in mind, and a fair idea of what I wanted to make, I created this card! I’m really quite pleased with how it turned out :)

Colour Challenge

I used Remembering Your Birthday for the sentiment, and omitted the parts of stamp I didn’t want to ink, by using a Baked Brown Sugar Stampin’ Write Marker to selectively colour the stamp.

The lovely border was made by punching with the Confetti Stars border punch, and I then placed a strip of Coastal Cabana cardstock behind.

Hope you enjoyed this creation! x
