Hello again! I thought I’d pop in and show you what we made in card class this fortnight. We played around with the oh-so-cute sets available in the 2016 Sale-A-Bration catalogue.
The first card consisted of a card base of thick Whisper White cardstock. Two strips of DSP, from the It’s My Party DSP Stack, were adhered down the sides of the card front. On a slightly smaller layer of Watercolor Paper, we stamped the chick from Honeycomb Happiness using Archival Black ink. The chick was then coloured using Crush Curry ink, and Blender Pens.
Using Perfect Pairings, the words ‘Happy Day’ and ‘To You’ were stamped on Basic Black cardstock using Versamark, and heat embossed with White Stampin’ Emboss Powder. A few sequins pulled off the Gold Sequin Trim, finished off the card.

For the second card, we used a card base of Crumb Cake. Using a few of the stamps from the Flowering Fields stamp set, we stamped onto the card front using Versamark, then heat embossed with White Stampin’ Emboss Powder. Ink was then applied over the heat embossing using Perfect Plum, Daffodil Delight, Watermelon Wonder, and Old Olive ink and a sponge dauber.
A small label stamped with ‘Happy Birthday’ from Balloon Celebration, was heat embossed with White Stampin’ Emboss Powder. This was then adhered using Stampin’ Dimensionals. A strip of Shimmery White cardstock was glued across the card front, and a strand of Natural Twine was tied in a bow. A few pearls finished off the card.

For the final card, we used a card base of Smoky Slate. This was stamped with a ‘watermarked’ background, using the ‘Just For You’ stamp from Botanicals For You, and Versamark ink. Once dry (you can speed it up with a Heat Tool), a small strip of Silver Glimmer paper was adhered to the card. On a small strip of Whisper White cardstock, the ‘…On Your Special Day’ stamp was stamped using Smoky Slate ink, and adhered over the Silver Glimmer strip, using Stampin’ Dimensionals.
A flower was punched from Blushing Bride cardstock, using the Itty Bitty Accents flower punch. This was then glued onto the white cardstock strip. A rhinestone in the centre of the flower finished off the card.

Thank you for popping in, and I hope you’ll leave feeling inspired! ‘Til next time x
